PRESENTING THE NEKTON RORQUAL
A revolutionary Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull Liveaboard that offers Nekton's guests an exceptionally smooth ride and luxury accommodations.
The Nekton Rorqual offers our popular Bahamas itineraries departing from Fort Lauderdale during the late spring, summer, and early fall months. During the late fall, winter and early spring it offers our Mona Island and Southern Bahamas itineraries, and this year will also feature our Whales of the Silver Bank itinerary.
The Nekton Rorqual was designed from the ground up specifically as a SCUBA diving Liveaboard for Nekton by SWACAT Technologies. The Rorqual was delivered into service for Nekton in the fall of 2001 and was built in Port St. Joe Florida at Gulf County Shipbuilding.
The Nekton Rorqual's design includes one continuous strut on each side connecting the superstructure to the submerged pontoons that provide buoyancy. This provides slightly higher speed and range than the Nekton Pilot.
