NEKTON'S APPLICATION OF SWATH TECHNOLOGY

Both the successful operation of existing SWATH vessels and the planned entries of new SWATH vessels support the acceptance of SWATHs as superior ships with numerous advantages over conventional monohull designs. The Nekton Pilot  and the Nekton Rorqual have successfully applied SWATH technology to the operation of a live-aboard dive vessel. The major advantage of the SWATH vessel, as stated earlier, is the reduction of ship motion. Since passenger comfort and the pleasures of scuba diving can be greatly enhanced by a stable ship, the application of the SWATH design to a dive boat matches a problem with a proven solution.
