CAPTAIN

The Captain's primary responsibility is the safety of Nekton vessels and their passengers. As Captain, he/she should possess such admirable qualities as good leadership skills, foresight, vigilance, good judgment and common sense. They should have the ability to make decisions, solve problems and take action to use resources effectively and efficiently. Duties entail the overall management of the vessel including all systems and procedures aboard ship. These may include various operations such as mechanical, safety, fire control, navigation, personnel, diving activities, medical emergencies, (including evacuation), communications, hotel/galley operations, and the ships administrative duties. The Captain will assume an integral role with that of his crew members in day to day charter responsibilities. Last but certainly not least, the Captain is ultimately responsible for the safety, comfort and quality of each guests experience aboard Nekton vessels.
