Onboard Dining
Food Glorious Food! No diving vacation would be complete without generous fine dining
between your diving. Of course your Nekton cruise includes plenty of gourmet dining
with lots of variety.
Meals are served in a combination of buffet and sit down -- after helping yourself
at the buffet, crew will offer you drinks, wait on you for second helpings, and
offer dessert and coffee. We always have regular and decaffeinated coffee brewed
and offer plenty of iced tea, water and juices including grape, orange, cranberry,
apple as well as Crystal Light and Gatorade.
Popcorn is also available for late night snacks. The following menu is subject to
seasonal variations and changes but is representative of the fine dining you
can expect to enjoy during your cruise.
Saturday

Lunch - Chicken Caesar salad,

Dinner - Prime Rib, baked potatoes
with chives, sour cream, cheese, bacon, butter, honey-buttered carrots, salad, sour
dough bread, banana cherry cheesecake
Monday
Breakfast - Pancakes, sausage
links, cream of wheat, bagels, toast, assorted dry cereals
Snack - Oatmeal raisin cookies
Lunch - "Taco Day"; corn tortilla
chips, flour and corn (hard) shells, corn tortilla soup, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes,
black olives, jalapenos, onion, salsa, green pepper, ground beef, chicken, Spanish
rice, nacho cheese and beans
Snack - Hot pretzels with nacho

Lunch - Bacon Lettuce and Tomatoes

Dinner - "Turkey Day"; Carved

Bar Service and Carbonated Beverages

Nekton does not offer bar service or carbonated beverages
but you are welcome to bring your own (a better value for you). In fact, we have
a special cooler for guest to store beer, wine, and soft drinks - and there is no
corking fee. On arrival day, our shuttle service makes a stop at a local liquor
store en-route to the boat so you can stock up if you desire. Just keep in mind
that your first alcohol drink of the day means you've had your last dive of the
day. |

Special Medical Dietary Requirements

Nekton will make every reasonable effort to accommodate medically
indicated special dietary requirements that we know about in advance. Our vegetarian
guests typically double up on the variety of non-meat offerings at the buffet and
will often substitute white fish for the meat dish. |
