Embark on an adventure of a lifetime to the incredible reefs and walls of the Southern Bahamas. This remote area is located about 300 miles (488 km) southeast of Florida, so the Nekton Rorqual is based out of George Town, a quaint Bahamian town located in the heart of the Southern Bahamas (famous for its Sailboat Regattas). Your adventure begins in George Town on Saturday. You're welcome to spend the night aboard the Nekton Rorqual before we depart Sunday morning for some great diving in the Exumas, Conception Island, San Salvador and Cat Island or Rum Cay. While each Southern Bahamas cruise may vary due to weather and conditions, the outline below will give you a good feel for the adventure you will experience!

Saturday Local taxi service is available from the George Town airport with dockside drop off. The Captains briefing and safety muster will begin once all guests have boarded. While in port you are free to spend the evening exploring the quaint out-island Bahamian village of George Town and enjoy authentic dining in one of the fine local restaurants. We will depart at first light on Sunday morning for Rum Cay or Cat Island.

Sunday - Friday Dive various Southern Bahamas sites in the Exumas, Conception Island, San Salvador and Rum Cay or Cat Island. The diving at these islands includes dramatic world-class wall diving. The walls typically begin at 50 feet (15 meters) or less and plunge into the deep blue. Visibility is excellent -- consistently exceeding 150 to 200 feet (45 to 60 meters). During the week, you'll also have the opportunity to enjoy an optional shore excursion to San Salvador and the uninhabited Conception Island (a Bahamian national preserve).

Friday Evening Arrive in port late afternoon/early evening or Saturday morning. While in port you are free to spend the evening exploring the quaint out-island Bahamian village of George Town and enjoy authentic dining in one of the fine local restaurants.

Saturday Local taxi service is available with dockside pickup for transfers to the airport. Guests on the afternoon flight are encouraged to take a dinghy shuttle to nearby Stocking Island for an self guided island/beach excursion (try the conch burgers with a cool beverage or climb Beacon Hill).
